The Electrical Engineering program offered by the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering is appropriate to the University mission and its design and composition as well as its delivery and assessment of learning outcomes are in accordance with international academic norms. There is a regular process of assessment and evaluation and the results of such evaluation are regularly utilized for continuous improvement of the program. Its program learning outcomes are appropriate to the level of qualifications awarded and are consistent with the UAE Qualification Framework (QFEmirates). The EE program requires a total of 142 credit hours for graduation. This includes 3 credit hours of 16 weeks of practical training (internship) in engineering organization. The remaining 139 credit hours of course work are distributed over 8 full semesters and one summer semester. Accordingly, a student can complete all the requirements for graduation in a period of four years. For graduation, a student must have cumulative GPA of at least 2.0.
