Overview

All BA (Honours) Film students at Middlesex University Dubai hone their practice and learn the latest filmmaking skills at MDX Studios, our on-campus film lab. MDX Studios operates a unique script-to-screen teaching philosophy, where students not only pitch, create, and distribute their own productions, but also gain the opportunity to work with real-life production houses of all sizes to bring unique stories to life. Powered by partnerships with some of the industry’s biggest names, MDX Studios features the latest equipment, including a Dolby ATMOS Mixing Theatre, Blackmagic Design and RED cameras, high performance VFX and colour grading suites, and a host of other facilities. RED cameras are industry-grade visual powerhouses approved for use by over-the-top platforms such as Netflix and Amazon, meaning our students produce industry-grade film work even before graduation.
