The MSc Sport Performance Analysis programme is designed to immerse students in the dynamic and data-driven world of sports, where performance analysis takes center stage. The programme covers relevant topics such as performance indicators, performance profiling, reliability testing, and statistical analysis using industry-standard software packages to empower students with the tools and knowledge needed to drive performance improvements in various sports. The aim of the programme is to develop performance analysts with expertise to design evidence-based, sport-specific performance analysis interventions driven by a critical needs analysis. Throughout the programme you will develop essential reflective and practical skills for communicating complex data to coaches and athletes, while also honing your critical thinking and problem-solving abilities. The curriculum has been designed to enable you to perform advanced data analysis and visualisation, select and evaluate various technical, tactical, and statistical analyses, and critically assess validity and reliability.
